What It Is:
A Soft Reset is a 5–10 second pause that helps your nervous system release stress during transitions. No extra time needed. You anchor it to something you already do.
Why It Matters:
ADHD women face constant micro-stress from fast switches and high demands. Without pauses, stress builds, leading to overwhelm, shutdown, or snapping at others.
Small resets can help with the buildup.
How To Do It:
Pick one cue already in your day:
Where to pause:
🟣 Unlocking your phone
🟣 Switching apps
🟣 Standing at the sink
🟣 Red light
🟣 Closing your laptop
🟣 Waiting for something to load
When it happens:
1. Stop for one full breath.
2. Feel one sensation in your body (breath, warmth, contact).
3. Move on. That’s it.
Over time, add more of these into your day.
