A doctor said to me ‘you (women if our age adhd) are the research group as we don’t know enough to help you.

My response’ I just want our data recorded’.

Thank you for the explanation, it solves a longtime mystery. I'm 62 and learned about my ADHD 1.5 years ago. Before menopause, I always had more migraines and mysteriously bad days before my periods.

This is anecdotal but resonates with this sample-- I’ve noticed that during my PMDD shift (1.5-2weeks before menses), I need to increase my dosage.

With only 9 women being studied--how can we expect this information to be accurate on a larger scale? I’m curious to know, too, if there are differences with the stages of peri/pre/post as well.

I think there is so much anectodal evidence and all of us who work with women know this is true. Soond the research will start pouring in. Check out the substack note I just wrote and the study https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0018506X23001642?via%3Dihub

Hi Caz. Flourish is a virtual support group and learning for women that is 30 sessions. It is live but also you can follow along with the accompanying videos and workbooks and the sessions ( group) wich are recorded. It's meant to be affordable and is available to everyone regardless of ability to pay. Time zone EST. But I ususally have two group going during the year one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
